My goal as a photographer is to tell your story through my lens. I want to help you create memories that you will look back on and smile. I love getting to know my clients on a personal level. Before your session, we will go over your vision. This is YOUR story, I'm just helping you tell it.   My name is Kayla, and I live in Connecticut with my boyfriend Dan. We have a son, Liam who was born in November of 2021.  I love wine, cooking, baking, and traveling. I consider myself a music junky. I LOVE going to concerts. A show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater is on my bucket list. If you've come across this page, I hope to learn about You as well!  

 I've always loved taking photos. Ever since I was a teen I felt the need to bring a camera to any event large or small. It may have seemed annoying at the time, but now those old pictures are treasured memories. That's what's what I'm trying to preserve for my clients. Treasured memories.  In 2017 I decided I wanted to really explore photography, not just take photos off a little digital camera with a sim card.

 I bought a used canon 40d and used my moms decade old canon lens. I took basic photography courses at night, and learned photoshop, and Lightroom. It still wasn't enough. I studied techniques through good old Youtube, and just practiced constantly. I begged my friends and family if I could take their photos. After months of working and learning I found my niche. I worked for a hospital photographing newborns for 2 years, I gained ALOT of experience working with babies, lighting, and posing.

 I finally invested in my own camera, a Canan Mark IV, and a small collection of new lens's. Photographers are always learning, and evolving. This is what keeps my "job" a passion.
